RONGO(there are three villages called Dalgaon,Gairibas and Rongo itself) and its surrounding villages like Todey Tangta,Paren,Kumai are hidden places where you can find the simple way of village life with lots of cultural effects.Specially Rongo is a Government medicine Plantation where main crops are Cinchona(it is a medical value to treat malleria), Epicace (which call as Green Gold,use to treat in different types of diseases) ,Dyscoria( medicine of family planning is made from its essence ) are cultivated by government of West Bengal.In the personal level the local farmers cultivated the   cardamom, Brooms and other medicine plants.You may visit the plantation to see how the people of this region work and grow this medicine plants.

There are many view points to attract tourists in these region.At Dalgaon a view point which is constructed by GTA from where you can watch the Himalayan range of Bhutan,untouchable dense Nathula  forest,a birds view scenery of Jaldhaka river and Doors where  G.T.A.administration launch a huge tourism project with the rapid construction of the tourist cottages,auditorium for cultural demonstration,swimming pool and garden and avenue .  At Rongo where you can visit British time rural hospital which are serving the poor people of Rongo and its surrounding area from the time of British ruler and there  is 75 years or more old schools,ancient time cave and a heritage Sherpa Village  .If you love to walk and track then local youth can arrange short trip of  off road tracking between jaldhaka to Dalgaon for one day  and Dalgaon to Rongo for one day which cover more than  25 kilometers and you can watch different kind of birds, local flora and fauna,local fishes etc. There are provision of  TWO days long tracking to Racheala of sikkim,bhutan and West Bengal Boarders. At the time of October to January you have to chance to seethe different type of wild orchids in villagers homes and also enjoy the sound of  differents kinds of singing birds and capture the moment in your cameras in early morning.You have a maximum chance to watch rare Hornbill too. You can  visit to its surrounding villages viz.Gairibas,Samsing,Kumai Tea State,Bindoo hydel project,Jaldaka hydel project and Bhutan  boarders etc.On demand of visitors local youth may arrange traditional Nepali,Sherpa,Tamang,Lepcha and Bhutia dances.

DHAP GAON SHERPA GUMBA AT RONGO This monastery were established during the 1960-65 and were renovated during the year 1984-85 by the local public.This monastery located in the pick of the village from were you can enjoy the view of mountains like Bhutan pass,himalayas of sikkim and dense forest of Neora range and also can watch the beauty of Jaldaka river and Doors and enjoy the view of sherpa heritage village.

Gradually home stay at Dalgaon and Rongo running in its track with  very neat and clean surrounding atmosphere  and  visitors, tourist started to visit here for at-least two to three nights which are very inspiring to local people.
